Big Brands, Bigger Discounts: A bumper week for Student Beans
One of the key insights to come from our 2018 Student Shopping Report was that students tend to spend more at certain times of year, including when their student loan payment arrives, and when there are special discounts for students. That’s why we work with our brand partners to offer our student users exciting offers at loan drop time.
This week students across the UK received their loan payment for the summer term, and we worked with some of their favourite retailers to offer an incredible week of discounts as part of our Big Brands, Bigger Discounts campaign. The brands who participated included River Island, Topshop, Topman, HP, Miss Selfridge and more.
The boosted discounts generated a significant increase in student sales for the brands, and put Student Beans front of mind among the UK’s student population. Downloads of our Student Beans app skyrocketed so fast that it is currently trending in the iOS App Store.
